On the occasion of the International Day of Biodiversity, a webinar on the theme of "Our Solutions are in nature" will be organized on 20 May 2020 by the Tunisian Ministry of environment.

The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) is celebrated every year, on 22 of May to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. 

Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the International Day for Biological Diversity 2020 will be commemorated online. The slogan of this year’s campaign is"Our Solutions are in nature", emphasizing the importance of working together at all levels to build a future of life in harmony with nature.
In Tunisia, the Ministry of Environment of Tunisia will organize a webinar on the theme "Our Solutions are in nature". The webinar will be opened by H.E. Minister of Environment Mr Chokri BEN HASSEN, on Wednesday 20 of May 2020 starting at 3.00 PM (Tunisia Local Time).

SPA/RAC will take part in this event, organized via the "Zoom" video conferencing platform in collaboration with:

• The Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Ressources
• The Tunisian Ministry of Health
• WWF North Africa
• International Union for Conservation of Nature (Center for Mediterranean Cooperation) 
• Small Grant Project (GEF-UNDP)
