A marine biology and environment internship: "La Semaine de la Mer" used, since seven years, to be organized at Tabarka (Tunisia) by the research unit Ecosystems & Aquatic Resources of the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (ERA/INAT) in partnership with the Tunisian Agence de Protection et d’Aménagement du Littoral (APAL), the WWF Med North Africa Office (Tunisia), the Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas (SPA/RAC) and the Centre for Studies and Training Okianos, in collaboration with the High Institute  for fishing and Aquaculture (ISPA), the Tunisian "Groupement Interprofessionnel des Produits de la Pêche" (GIPP), The COSPE and the assication "les Amis des Oiseaux" (AAO), in Tabarka.

This internship brings together undergraduate and engineer science students (Fisheries, Biology, Environment), for a practical training on prospecting, sampling and interpretation of marine and coastal ecosystems with a biodiversity and habitats protection approach.

This internship is organized in closed camp closely coached by university teachers and specialized resear Bizerte / Sidi Mechreg / Tabarka (North West of Tunisia)

• Prospecting and sampling at sea
• Laboratory work and analyses
• Identification and Taxonomy
• Data processing and mapping
• Thematic conferences
• Conferences and scientific animations.

"The Sea Week" is a Mediterranean opened training and it can be attended by Algerian, Croatian, French, Italian, Lebanese, Libyan, Moroccan, and Tunisian students.

This eighth session will be organized from 04 to 11 August at Bizerte / Sidi Mechreg / Tabarka (North West of Tunisia).

• Selection will be based on curricula and motivation
• Selected students will be fully supported during this internship.
• Individual and travel insurance are the responsibility of the selected students.
• The organizing committee will not support tickets for travel to Tunisia fees.
