RAC/SPA is organizing its 12^th Meeting of Focal Points for Specially Protected Areas from 25 to 29 May 2015 in Athens.

The meeting was opened on Monday morning in the presence of Mr. Yiannis Tsironis, Alternate Minister for Reconstruction of Production, Environment and Energy of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Gaetano Leone, UNEP/MAP Coordinator, and Mr. Habib Al-Habr, UNEP/MAP Deputy Coordinator.

Present and future RAC/SPA activities and programmes are discussed during the meeting with representatives of the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention, experts and representatives of IGOs and NGOs.

Sixty-five persons are attending the meeting, which coincides with celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of RAC/SPA.
