06/22: Call for consultants: elaboration of a socio-economic programme of the islands of Kerkennah

As part of the implementation of the regional project "Towards achieving the good environmental status of  the Mediterranean Sea and coast through an ecologically representative and efficiently managed and monitored network of marine protected areas" (“IMAP-MPA Project”), funded by the European Union (EU), UNEP/MAP-SPA/RAC is launching a call for consultants to develop an integrated socio-economic programme in the future Marine Protected Area of the Northern Islands of Kerkennah archipelago in Tunisia.

The mission to be undertaken would define, based on the information gathered and depending on the commitment of the stakeholders, a detailed work plan to implement an integrated management of socio-economic activities at the site level, with a special focus on sustainable fishing and nature-based tourism and their impacts on marine habitats and vulnerable species.
