- The Mediterranean Corner is an open space set up at the CBD COP 15 exhibition area (Room 220a - Booth #420) to showcase solutions for effective biodiversity conservation from the Mediterranean, especially those linked to marine protected areas, and to discuss present and future strategies and actions to support the Post-2020 GBF goals and targets.

The Mediterranean Corner brings together several Mediterranean organizations, namely:- Technical partners: UNEP/MAP, SPA/RAC, INFO/RAC, PAMEX & PLIFF, ACCOBAMS, CEPF & BirdLife, FM6E, FPA2, MBPC (represented by ETC-UMA), MedPAN, The MedFund, Together for the Med (represented by BlueSeeds and IUCN-Med), UfM.

Financial partners: UNEP/MAP - SPA/RAC, EU (through the IMAP-MPA project), Ministry of Environment and Energy Security of Italy, MBPC (represented by ETC-UMA), ACCOBAMS, MedPAN.

Talks and encounters will be organized at the Mediterranean Corner every day, from the 10th to the 16th of December 2022, at 13:30 and 14:30 Montreal time (UTC-5).
These talks will address specific subjects related to marine and coastal biodiversity conservation, based on experiences, projects and initiatives from Mediterranean organizations and stakeholders, and echoing the orientations of the post-2020 GBF, and biodiversity conservation hot topics around the world.
The Talks for Nature will be broadcasted through streaming on SPA/RAC YouTube channel and Facebook page.
