Management Plans are one of the fundamental tools that guide management and define the terms of the ecosystems, the human communities and the administrative components of the plan, required in accordance with the management category. With this manual, the MBRS Project reaffirms its commitment to generate support material for the conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal resources, with the participation of the different sectors of civil society, governmental and non-governmental organizations, promoting participatory forums for decision-making.It is our intention that this tool be used in mass training courses and serve as a guide in the processes of revising, updating, re-orienting and preparing Management Plans for MPA{\textquoteright}s in the various countries of the Mesoamerican region. In so doing, it will strengthen the efforts to conserve biological diversity as well as foster community development by increasing the diversity of actors and levels of participation in the management process.
